Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudy Pu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Noonan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noonan has chosen 3DD - Kryptonite as his entrance music. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noonan throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Pu staying out of range there.
Pu throws a body shot but no joy.
Pu lands a body shot.
Pu lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rudy Pu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Noonan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Noonan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pu has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Pu lands a really nice looking cross but Noonan seems unphased.

Noonan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Pu misses with a low kick.
Noonan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Noonan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Pu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Noonan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Noonan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Noonan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Noonan wants to work for an arm triangle but Pu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Noonan on the ground.

Noonan wants to work for an arm triangle but Pu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pu pushes Noonan off looking to stand but Noonan dives back in and keeps control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Noonan is working away from the top position though.
Noonan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Noonan is looking to cinch up a triangle. Pu throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Noonan's body to avoid the submission. Noonan has instead reached around Pu's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Noonan arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
