Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jet Hemi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conway Jennings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hemi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Satyricon - Fuel For Hatred. The crowd seem to be enjoying Jennings's choice of entrance music: For a few $ More. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hemi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jennings misses with an uppercut. Hemi saw that one coming.
We've been told by Hemi's head coaches at Martial Arts Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hemi misses with a series of wild punches.
Hemi misses the jab.
Hemi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hemi ducks under a wild hook from Jennings.
Jennings uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hemi.
Hemi throws a good cross that connects.
Hemi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hemi moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Jennings drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Jennings throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hemi tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jennings is in Hemi's guard.

Jennings lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Jennings seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hemi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Conway Jennings dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jennings shoots in looking for a takedown. Hemi tries to sprawl out of it but Jennings keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Hemi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A punch lands to the side of Hemi 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jennings jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hemi was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Jennings uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hemi.

Jennings looks to throw the jab but Hemi is out of range.
Jennings will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jennings's coach down at Morbid Conditioning, Trans, Esc School $1000 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jennings's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oooooh!!! Hemi has knocked Jennings down with a huge combo! Hemi steps away and waves a wobbly Jennings back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It seemed like Jennings was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Hemi drops Jennings with a beautiful combination! Jennings stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hemi is looking for the KO!
Hemi walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Jennings loads up on a big right hand but Hemi slips the punch.
Jennings avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jennings throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jennings ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jennings tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hemi was well out of range. Poor timing from Jennings.

and Hemi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Jennings stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Conway Jennings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jennings might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Jennings seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Hemi shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Jennings is backing up but Hemi catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Jennings covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Hemi Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
