Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Emerson Fitzpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Sai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Sai told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sai misses with a wild body shot.
Sai clinches up with Fitzpatrick and pushes him back against the cage.
Fitzpatrick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sai pulls Fitzpatrick into guard.
Sai wants to sweep but no luck.
Fitzpatrick postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Fitzpatrick gets to his feet. Sai looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fitzpatrick avoids the head kick by Sai.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sai shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fitzpatrick napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fitzpatrick is trying to get back to his feet.
Fitzpatrick tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Fitzpatrick rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Sai wants to stand but Fitzpatrick has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Fitzpatrick wants to get back to his feet.
Fitzpatrick keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Fitzpatrick moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Fitzpatrick is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sai rolls with it to try and escape but Fitzpatrick cranks on the arm and Sai is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
