Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Urho Berserk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Breeze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Urho Berserk!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Breeze!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berserk throws a lazy head kick

and Breeze counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Breeze.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Berserk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Breeze's guard.

Breeze keeping moving, preventing Berserk from controlling successfully.
Breeze wants to control the position but Berserk says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Breeze actively working from the bottom here.
Breeze misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Berserk is taking a breather. Breeze says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Breeze wants to improve his position but Berserk is controlling well.

Breeze escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Berserk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Breeze is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Berserk has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Berserk is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Berserk throws a right and a left that Breeze avoids nicely.

Breeze drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Breeze wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Berserk, who protects the arm well.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Berserk parries the strikes from Breeze easily there. Breeze is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Berserk to escape.

Berserk tries to buck Breeze off but Breeze is having none of it.

As Breeze backs away, Berserk returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Berserk feints a jab promting Breeze to slip. Berserk then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Breeze slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looked like Berserk wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Berserk lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Breeze at a distance.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Berserk.

Breeze on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Berserk tries to bum rush Breeze with a series of wild strikes but Breeze uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

We've been told by Berserk's head coaches at Gutz Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Berserk fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Breeze has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Breeze shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Berserk pinned against the cage. Berserk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Berserk ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Breeze moves away.

Berserk misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Berserk connects with a leg kick. Breeze looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Oooh a lovely combination from Breeze sends Berserk down but not out. Breeze dives into side control looking to finish.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Berserk is not content to let Breeze control the position.

Breeze is looking to advance position but Berserk won't allow it.

Berserk is staying active underneath Breeze, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Breeze is just content to waste time from the top position. Berserk takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

OH! Berserk has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Breeze smells blood and charges in for the finish! Breeze unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Berserk sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!
