Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wyatt Earp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Quagmire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wyatt Earp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glen Quagmire!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Earp misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Earp shoots in but Quagmire avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Quagmire closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Still in half guard, Quagmire seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Quagmire gets to his feet. Earp looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Quagmire had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Earp is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Quagmire Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Earp's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quagmire gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

Earp is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Earp is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Quagmire is looking for a kimura but Earp is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Quagmire to get the leverage.

Quagmire has hold of Earp's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Earp manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

It looks like Glen Quagmire has been cut.

Earp is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Quagmire can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Earp works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Quagmire is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Earp has his hands clasped together but Quagmire extends an breaks Earp's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Quagmire.
