The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leslie bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Faria's head backwards.
It looks like Abbe Faria has been cut.
Leslie throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Leslie throws a body punch but Faria moves out of range.
Leslie takes a swing at Faria's ribcage but misses.
Leslie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Leslie throws a head kick but Faria moves out of range.

Leslie throws a series of punches but Faria avoids them all with ease.

and Faria makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Leslie has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Leslie fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Faria checks it well.

Leslie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Faria was well out of range. Poor timing from Leslie.
It looked like Faria was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Leslie.
Faria misses with a jab, cross combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Leslie moves into range and connects with a jab.
Leslie avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Faria lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Leslie swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Faria connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Faria sends Leslie crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Faria is motioning to the referee to let Leslie up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Reginald Leslie has been cut.
Leslie ducks under a wild hook from Faria.
Leslie tries a quick counter leg kick but Faria is wise to it.
Leslie turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Leslie swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Faria.
Faria throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Leslie.

enabling Faria to counter with a crisp jab.

Faria avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Leslie just misses with a punch to the body.

Faria punishes Leslie's body with a nice straight punch.
Leslie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Faria counters with a nice body shot.
Faria looks to land a left hand but Leslie moved out of range nicely.
Faria blocks a head kick by Leslie.
Leslie throws out a loose jab but Faria uses good head movement to avoid it.
A little feinted left hand from Faria on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nice cross by Leslie.
Leslie misses with a body punch
and Faria counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Faria takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Reginald Leslie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Faria throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Leslie crashing down! Leslie tries to stagger back to his feet but Faria just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Leslie asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abbe Faria!
