Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mairbek Krylov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Helm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Helm has chosen Spazzin - Gary Podunk as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mairbek Krylov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, James Helm!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helm throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Krylov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Krylov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Helm finds it's way round the side to connect with Krylov's head.
Krylov sizes up Helm with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Krylov throws a big shot that misses.
Krylov moves out of range as Helm strikes.
Helm digs a good hook to Krylov's body.
Helm rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Krylov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Krylov throws a hook but Helm avoids it easily.
Helm misses with a left hand

and Krylov moves into the clinch.
Helm wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Krylov has him pressed against the cage.

Helm is trying to break the clinch but Krylov is controlling him.

Krylov just leaning against Helm, taking a breather.
Helm has had enough of the clinch but Krylov keeps him there for the moment.

Krylov throws a punch but it's blocked by Helm.
We've been informed that Helm has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Krylov keeps control of Helm as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Nice body punch from Krylov - that landed with a thud.
Krylov can't find room to land a body shot as Helm controls the action.

Helm pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Helm cracks a nice hook into Krylov's ribs.
A combination from Helm does no damage.
Sloppy strikes from Krylov. Those never looked like landing.
Helm throws out a counter right but Krylov avoids it with no problem.
Helm scores with a nice strike.
Krylov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Krylov seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Helm throws a combination. Krylov tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Helm lunges at Krylov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Krylov's hand.
Krylov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Helm.
Helm misses with a jab, cross combination.
Krylov connects with a jab.
A left lands for Helm.
Helm throws a big shot that misses.
Helm loads up on a big right hand but Krylov slips the punch.
Helm misses with a lunging right hand
and Krylov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nice defenses there by Helm.
James Helm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Krylov has managed to clinch.
Krylov misses with a punch on the inside.
Krylov tries to throw a body punch but Helm avoids it by throwing Krylov back against the cage.
Krylov makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Helm is looking to break free of the clinch but Krylov has double underhooks.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Krylov goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Helm pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Krylov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Krylov clinches.
Krylov will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Helm up against the cage.

Krylov throws a punch but it's blocked by Helm.
Krylov lands a left hand.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Helm wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Helm is trying to break the clinch but Krylov is controlling him.

Helm escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Helm misses with a wild combination.
Helm jabs Krylov to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Helm misses with an uppercut
and Krylov counters with a nice body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Krylov defending well as Helm loads up on a big left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mairbek Krylov will probably get the nod.
That's time! Krylov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


No joy there for Krylov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Krylov thows a left - swing and a miss!
Krylov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Krylov cracks Helm with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Krylov, as that shot connected.
Krylov lands a really nice looking cross but Helm seems unphased.
Helm clobbers Krylov with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Helm lands a head shot.
Krylov missing with a left hand there. Helm was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Helm swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
James Helm seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Helm connects with a right hand. Krylov shakes it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Helm lands with an overhand left.
Helm swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Helm misses with an uppercut. Krylov saw that one coming.
Krylov tries to clinch up.
Helm waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Krylov.
Krylov moves away from the strike by Helm.
Helm might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Nice defenses there by Krylov.
Krylov swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Helm looks to throw the jab but Krylov is out of range.
Helm swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Helm misses with a body shot.
Krylov was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Helm uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Krylov.
Krylov throws a shot from downtown. Helm moves away and avoids it.
Krylov takes one to the chin there.
Helm scores with a body shot.
Krylov punishes Helm's body with a nice straight punch.

Helm sends Krylov crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Helm is motioning to the referee to let Krylov up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Krylov is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Oh Krylov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Krylov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Helm throws a pinpoint strike between Krylov's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Krylov crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Helm scores a great knockout victory!
