The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Voorhees closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Voorhees tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Lawson dodges the ground and pound from Voorhees.
Voorhees tries to score with some ground and pound. Lawson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lawson parries the strikes from Voorhees easily there. Voorhees is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lawson to escape.
Voorhees passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lawson!

It looks like William Lawson has been cut.
Voorhees looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Lawson covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
