The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pow throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Valdez counters with a takedown into side control.
Valdez tries to advance to mount but Pow denies him.
Pow is not content to let Valdez control the position.
Valdez tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pow's legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valdez trying to control the action but Pow is working from the bottom.
Valdez is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Pow looks calm but he's in trouble here. Valdez gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Pow is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Valdez lets go of the hold and Pow can pop his arm back in it's socket.
