Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shin Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drake Retso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sato's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Thunderstruck. Drake Retso has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sato staying out of range there.
Good leg kick by Sato there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Retso shoots in for a takedown but Sato shows good takedown defense.
Sato stuffs the takedown.
Retso misses with a looping left.
Retso jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Sato moves out of range as Retso strikes.

Retso swats away the attempt to clinch by Sato.
Sato tries to close the distance and clinch but Retso swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Retso takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Retso looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sato lands a high kick to the side of Retso's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Sato dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Drake Retso has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sato gets to his feet. Retso looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Sato lands a head kick that stumbles Retso and the fighters go to the mat.

That has opened up Drake Retso's cut even more.

Sato will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Retso misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sato.
Sato lets loose with a powerful body kick. Retso will feel that in the morning.
Sato dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Retso. That did some damage!
Shin Sato is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sato wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sato lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Drake Retso's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
