Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Seth Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rollins comes to the cage accompanied by rap god. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seth Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Micheal Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins throws a head kick that misses.
Rollins staying out of range there.
Rollins takes one to the chin there.
A swing and a miss from Brooks.
Rollins tries for a takedown but Brooks circles away easily
and Brooks counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Rollins decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brooks's guard.
Brooks is trying to control the position but Rollins postures up.
Brooks might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rollins haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rollins not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rollins is in close to Brooks's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Rollins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brooks swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brooks looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Rollins puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rollins in particular looking to stall.
Brooks wants to improve his position but Rollins is controlling well.
Rollins is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Brooks tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rollins pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rollins is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Brooks to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brooks shrugs it off.

Rollins wants to finish this one by submission but Brooks is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Rollins.

Brooks tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brooks wants to control but Rollins is having none of it.
Rollins throws some wild stikes that Brooks manages to avoid easily.
Brooks tries to hold on but Rollins pushes him away.
Rollins controlling from the full mount.
Rollins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Brooks is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Brooks tries to hold on but Rollins postures up.
Brooks tries to control Rollins's body but Rollins pushes him off. Brooks squirms to his side and now Rollins has his back!

Rollins has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Brooks has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seth Rollins dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Brooks scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Brooks slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Rollins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brooks is trying to defend but Rollins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rollins escapes and gets back to his feet.

Brooks misses with a right hand
and Rollins counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Rollins closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brooks to the mat! Brooks manages to get full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rollins decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Brooks, up you get!

Seth Rollins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Micheal Brooks has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brooks clobbers Rollins with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Brooks is still on wobbly legs! Can Rollins finish him?
Micheal Brooks seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Rollins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brooks tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rollins is in Brooks's guard.

Rollins has hold of Brooks's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Brooks manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Rollins lands a big shot there that rocks Brooks but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Brooks might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Rollins moves to clinch but Brooks breaks away
and Brooks counters with a left to the body.
Rollins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brooks can do to turn this around?

Rollins is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brooks's half guard.
Brooks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rollins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rollins thows a huge punch but Brooks dodges it nicely.

Brooks scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rollins in his tracks.

Rollins darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Brooks tries to get to full guard but Rollins has control of the leg.
Micheal Brooks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Seth Rollins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Rollins wants to work for an arm triangle but Brooks is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Seth Rollins.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rollins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
