Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Sputnik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and corrado smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
smith looks for a takedown but Sputnik sprawls well.

Sputnik clinches up with smith and pushes him back against the cage.

Sputnik has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed smith clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
smith covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sputnik throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

smith gets caught flat footed, as Sputnik shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sputnik slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sputnik swings around for an armbar but smith sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sputnik's guard.

Sputnik has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think smith should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sputnik has tightened it up now! smith should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
