Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Norberto French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kolja Nurmagodov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nurmagodov has chosen The last of the mohicans theme as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

French pulls guard effortlessly.
French is trying to keep Nurmagodov in close.
French controlling the position.
Nurmagodov with a flurry of punches that miss.
Nurmagodov trying to control the position from guard on top but French is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nurmagodov throws a big elbow that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
French keeping moving, preventing Nurmagodov from controlling successfully.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
French might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Nurmagodov wants to pass the guard but French is keeping the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Nurmagodov lands a jab.

Nurmagodov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with French, pushing him back against the cage.
French controlling the action here for a moment.
French tries to pull guard but Nurmagodov forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
French tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nurmagodov smiles and moves away.
French could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nurmagodov shoots in for a double leg but French sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nurmagodov shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. French eats them both and turns towards Nurmagodov to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Nurmagodov lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
French takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Norberto French has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

French tries to keep at a distance but Nurmagodov has taken the fight into the clinch.
French tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nurmagodov smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Norberto French. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nurmagodov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nurmagodov goes for a double leg but French avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as French continues to drive forward.

Nurmagodov has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think French should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Nurmagodov has tightened it up now! French should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Kolja Nurmagodov decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
