Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wilson Ferrall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Underwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wilson Ferrall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Underwood!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferrall closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ferrall pulls guard effortlessly.
Underwood sitting in guard here, content to control.
Ferrall looking for a sweep. Not yet Ferrall, not yet.
Ferrall is trying to control the position but Underwood postures up.
Underwood pushes down on Ferrall's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Underwood seems to be working for a kimura but Ferrall defends the submission attempt.
Ferrall has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Underwood is working away from the top position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ferrall is looking to escape.

Underwood is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ferrall is just riding it out for now. Underwood eventually gives up the hold.

Underwood seems to be looking for submissions.
Ferrall wants to get back to full guard.

Underwood keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Underwood working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Underwood is looking to take a break and control but Ferrall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Underwood is nestled in close to Ferrall, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Underwood is keen to just control but Ferrall is a slippery customer.
Ferrall has hold of Underwood's hands but Underwood slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Ferrall is defending against the submission attempts here by Underwood.
Underwood seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ferrall tries to get to full guard but Underwood has control of the leg.

Underwood is working for a submission of some sort.
Underwood trying to control the action but Ferrall is working from the bottom.
Ferrall regains full guard. Nicely done.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Underwood drops back looking for a leg! Ferrall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ferrall manages to kick Underwood off! Underwood jumps back into Ferrall's guard.

Underwood lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Underwood dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Ferrall takes the fight into the clinch.
Ferrall is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Underwood pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Underwood goes for a takedown in the clinch but Ferrall prevents it.

Underwood is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ferrall is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Underwood to the mat. Underwood regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Underwood is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Underwood is trying to work for a kimura but Ferrall is defending well.
Frank Underwood has got the better of the ground game so far.
Underwood wants to control but Ferrall is keeping him busy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Underwood working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ferrall's head.
Underwood postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Ferrall trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Underwood trying to control but Ferrall is working from the bottom.
Underwood forces his way into half guard.

Underwood takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Underwood connects with a nice short shot to Ferrall's temple.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Underwood in particular looking to stall.

Frank Underwood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Ferrall pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And Underwood tries to counter it with a takedown but Ferrall pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Ferrall is trying to maintain the position but Underwood is very close to passing his half guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Underwood seems to be working for a kimura but Ferrall defends the submission attempt.

Underwood wants to work for an arm triangle but Ferrall is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ferrall is staying active underneath Underwood, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ferrall moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Underwood scoring with some ground and pound.
Underwood slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Underwood has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Underwood thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Underwood goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ferrall rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Underwood's guard! Nice work there by Ferrall!
Underwood controls Ferrall momentarily but Ferrall frees himself.

Underwood escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferrall gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Underwood wants to control but Ferrall passes easily into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Frank Underwood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Underwood winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
