Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zak Drezner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tero Karhula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drezner comes to the cage accompanied by Champions. Karhula has chosen Will Smith - Men In Black as his entrance music. Tero Karhula has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 15 - 4, fighting out of London, Zak Drezner!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Tero Karhula!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drezner ducks under a wild hook from Karhula.
Drezner misses with a two punch combination.
Drezner scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Karhula lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Karhula connects with the punch.
Karhula lands a body shot.
Drezner misses with an uppercut.
Drezner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Karhula on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Drezner fails to land with a series of punches.
Karhula lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Karhula, as that shot connected.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Drezner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Karhula manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Karhula with the counter takedown but Drezner avoids it easily.
Karhula misses with a takedown attempt - Drezner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Drezner is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Karhula.
Drezner lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Drezner misses with a straight right.
The fighters circling - Karhula throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Drezner wants to clinch up but Karhula keeps it at a distance.
Karhula throws a shot to the body.

Drezner moves into the clinch successfully.
Drezner wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Karhula stalling against the cage.
Drezner wants to break the clinch but can't.
Karhula drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Karhula manages to pull guard.
Karhula preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Karhula has a closed guard, preventing Drezner from standing up.
Karhula wants to sweep here but Drezner controlling him for the moment.
Drezner is looking to advance position but Karhula has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Drezner is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Karhula throws some wild stikes that Drezner manages to avoid easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Karhula sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Poor strikes thrown by Karhula there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Karhula lands a nice shot to the head.
Drezner's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Karhula is in the full mount, landing strikes.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Karhula working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Karhula connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


Drezner is rocked!
A big strike lands for Karhula! That's really hurt Drezner and he's turned his back - Karhula keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Karhula jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tero Karhula!
Tero Karhula is the new lightweight champion!
A victorious Tero Karhula thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
In defeat, Zak Drezner stepped up to the mic, saying 'Would like to congratulate my opponent for an amazing fight he's a warrior and he deserved to win tonight i have no excuses i lost so im just going to have to suck it up and come back more focused and stronger for my next fight thank you '.
