Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Freddie Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olaf Bonkers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Freddie Glass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Olaf Bonkers!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Glass fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bonkers to the ground. Glass is now in Bonkers's guard.
Glass trying to control but Bonkers is working from the bottom.
Glass throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bonkers works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Bonkers is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Glass is aware though and is defending well.
Bonkers wants to sweep here but Glass controlling him for the moment.
Glass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bonkers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Glass blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bonkers.
Glass is concentrating on defense, preventing Bonkers from advancing position.

Glass trying to hold on to Bonkers's head to control him but Bonkers postures up.
Glass tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Bonkers trying to mount his opponent but Glass defends it.
Bonkers is just content to waste time from the top position. Glass takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Glass keeping moving, preventing Bonkers from controlling successfully.
Glass knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bonkers on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bonkers looking to sit in guard and control but Glass gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Glass postures up.
Bonkers looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Glass has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bonkers controls Glass momentarily but Glass frees himself.
Glass controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Glass is looking to stand up but Bonkers won't let him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Bonkers throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Glass was covering up waiting for the punch and Bonkers finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Glass wants to control but Bonkers passes easily into half guard.
Glass holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Bonkers trying to control the action but Glass is working from the bottom.
Glass is trying to maintain the position but Bonkers is very close to passing his half guard.
Glass is not content to let Bonkers control the position.

Bonkers blocks the strikes from Glass.
Bonkers tries to pass to full mount but Glass defends it.
Glass flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Glass trying to control but Bonkers postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bonkers tries to clinch there but Glass circles away.

and Glass counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Freddie Glass will probably get the nod.

Glass bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Bonkers closes the distance but Glass moves to the side

and Glass counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bonkers won't be happy with that.

Glass looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Glass is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bonkers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bonkers is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bonkers throws a half hearted mid kick.
Glass attempts a counter takedown but Bonkers avoids it well and moves away.

Glass gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bonkers to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Glass pulls Bonkers in close to his closed guard and prevents Bonkers from doing any damage or advancing position.

Bonkers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Glass sprawls well initially but Bonkers persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bonkers wants to control but Glass is keeping him busy.
Glass is trying to maintain the position but Bonkers is very close to passing his half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bonkers is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Glass defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bonkers not doing much here.

A close second round but Olaf Bonkers will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Bonkers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Glass.
Glass appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Glass enables Bonkers to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Glass manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Glass wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bonkers is now in half guard.
Glass keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Bonkers is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bonkers takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Glass throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
You can see the frustration on Glass's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bonkers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Bonkers looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Glass looking to control.
Glass throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Bonkers decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Glass closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bonkers quickly recovers to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bonkers tries to roll over but Glass keeps him under control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Olaf Bonkers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bonkers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
