Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leslie Fox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Socchio!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fox instigates a clinch.

Fox is fighting off a takedown attempt but Socchio is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Fox to the mat. Fox regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Socchio slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Socchio's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Socchio cracks Fox with a solid left hand.
Socchio is stalling in the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Fox throws a body kick that misses.
Fox lands a nice looking kick to the body. Socchio takes a step back to recover.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fox.
Fox fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Socchio gets a double leg takedown into Fox's guard.
Socchio sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fox's guard.

Socchio in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Fox tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Socchio!
