The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts fails to land with a series of punches.
Roberts keeps the fight on the outside.
McDougle throws out a powerful jab.
McDougle is looking to clinch.
Roberts avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

McDougle moves into the clinch.
Roberts throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but McDougle blocks it with crossed arms.
Roberts wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McDougle can't get the takedown.
McDougle on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
McDougle is looking to take this one to the mat.
Roberts makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

and Roberts connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

McDougle rushes Roberts and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
McDougle is working for takedown but Roberts is calmly controlling the position for now.
Our sources have told us that Roberts has been working on his elbows in the gym.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
McDougle is trying to drag Roberts to the mat but Roberts just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Roberts digs a right hand underneath McDougle's ribcage. McDougle let out a lung full of air as it connected.

McDougle tries to pull guard but Roberts holds him up against the cage and eventually McDougle drops back down to his feet.

Roberts creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through McDougle's defenses.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Roberts.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Still in the clinch, Roberts scores with a nice short uppercut.

That has opened up Arnie McDougle's cut even more.
A right hook to the body lands for Roberts.
Roberts connects with a knee to the head.
Roberts scores with a shoulder strike.

The cut above Arnie McDougle's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Roberts comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Roberts tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McDougle's elbow.
Roberts trying to control the position but instead, McDougle has worked for underhooks and has pushed Roberts into the cage.

McDougle has clasped his hands together around Roberts's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

McDougle is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Roberts knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Roberts parries the strikes from McDougle easily there. McDougle is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Roberts to escape.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Roberts lands a big uppercut and McDougle crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but McDougle looks OK. Roberts waves McDougle back to his feet!
McDougle moves in looking to clinch but Roberts pushes him off.
Roberts is looking to counter the offense by McDougle and move into the clinch.
Bartholomew Roberts is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

McDougle closes the distance and clinches.

McDougle has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Roberts regains guard immediately.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McDougle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

McDougle throws a strike but Roberts rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
