The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drama moves into the clinch successfully.
Rex drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Drama gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Rex tries to score a body lock takedown but Drama shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Rex has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Drama is trying to keep an underhook but Rex manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Rex is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Drama controls Rex momentarily but Rex frees himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rex is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Rex seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Drama does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Trevor Rex.
