Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ainakea Mafua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Duarte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mafua shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Duarte but Duarte pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Duarte jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Duarte moves into the clinch.

Mafua jumps guard and drags Duarte to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Mafua had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Duarte is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mafua Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Duarte's back instead.

Mafua has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Duarte is in bad spot here.

Duarte really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mafua. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mafua gets his hands free as Duarte looks to control.
Duarte takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Mafua will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
I really don't envy Duarte right now.

Duarte has hold of Mafua's leg, trying to break free but it's let Mafua lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Duarte is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Mafua throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
