The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardwood shoots in but no luck this time.
Hardwood looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hardwood manages to get an easy takedown there - catching King on his heels. He'll look to pass King's guard now, I'm sure.

King is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hardwood is pressing down on King's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Hardwood escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. King gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hardwood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

King has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hardwood is proving hard to escape from.
