The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crankle's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sanders connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Crankle scrambles back to his feet.
Crankle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sanders tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Crankle swivels and escapes.
Sanders moves away from the strike by Crankle.
Sanders seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Sanders moves out of range as Crankle strikes.
Sanders stalks Crankle and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Crankle's face. Crankle staggers backwards, shaken.
A head kick from Sanders lands but Crankle takes it in his stride.
Sanders defending well as Crankle loads up on a big left hand.
Sanders is looking to counter the offense by Crankle and move into the clinch.
Sanders really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sanders shoots for a takedown but Crankle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Crankle shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sanders manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Crankle trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanders is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sanders is pulling down on Crankle's head to control his posture.
Crankle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Crankle wants to pass the guard but Sanders is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanders has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Crankle doesn't defend quickly enough and Sanders has managed to lock this one up! Can Crankle escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sanders on a fantastic submission victory.
