PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darryl Holloway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Jordao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jordao moves into range and clinches up with Holloway.
Holloway prevents Jordao from breaking the clinch.
Holloway tries to circle away but Jordao has him pinned against the cage.
Holloway really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Holloway has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jordao is trying to keep an underhook but Holloway manages to get the takedown into half guard.

A nice side step and Jordao releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Jordao leaves Holloway with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Holloway tries for a takedown but Jordao sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Holloway has Jordao pressed against the cage, preventing Jordao from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Jordao has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Holloway is working away from the top position though.
Holloway thows a huge punch but Jordao dodges it nicely.
Holloway has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darryl Holloway.
