The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliver Nippels ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Coulter moves away.

Coulter gets caught flat footed, as Oliver Nippels shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Coulter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Oliver Nippels.
Oliver Nippels won't allow Coulter to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oliver Nippels postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Oliver Nippels cracks Coulter with a solid left hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coulter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Oliver Nippels controls the pace.
Coulter wants to sweep here but Oliver Nippels controlling him for the moment.

Oliver Nippels looking to sit in guard and control but Coulter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Coulter wants to control from the top but Oliver Nippels keeps moving.
Coulter works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Oliver Nippels is trying to get back to full guard.
Oliver Nippels throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Coulter manages to pass to side control.

Oliver Nippels is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Oliver Nippels can't do much from the bottom here.
Oliver Nippels tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Coulter wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Coulter is looking to take a break and control but Oliver Nippels is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Oliver Nippels is looking to reverse the position.
Oliver Nippels tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Coulter presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Oliver Nippels is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Oliver Nippels can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Oliver Nippels wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Coulter.

Coulter is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Oliver Nippels to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Oliver Nippels shrugs it off.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oliver Nippels is trying desperately to improve position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Adolf Oliver Nippels will probably get the nod.
That's time! Coulter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Coulter is looking to regain half guard here but Oliver Nippels keeps moving and retains side control.
Oliver Nippels lands a decent elbow from side control.
Oliver Nippels wants to lay and pray for a moment but Coulter keeps working.
Oliver Nippels in side control, throwing shots but Coulter defends.
You can see the frustration on Coulter's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Oliver Nippels works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Oliver Nippels has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oliver Nippels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coulter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Coulter wants to get back to his feet but Oliver Nippels drags him back down.

Coulter manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Oliver Nippels connects with a nice short shot to Coulter's temple.

Oliver Nippels thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Coulter's head.

Oliver Nippels cracks Coulter with a solid left hand.


Coulter is rocked!
Oliver Nippels gets to his feet and stands over Coulter, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Coulter felt that one! Oliver Nippels unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Coulter from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adolf Oliver Nippels!
An out of breath Adolf Oliver Nippels thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
