The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva Santos uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Laurent has time to react.

Laurent throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva Santos was covering up waiting for the punch and Laurent finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Laurent not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Laurent advances to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Laurent connects with a nice short shot to Silva Santos's temple.

Laurent wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva Santos is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Laurent is taking a breather. Silva Santos says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
