PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gilad Shalit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Babel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shalit comes into the arena with MC Sapinho - Gilad Shalit blaring out of the sound system. Nick Babel is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Babel.
Shalit changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Shalit throws a push kick but Babel slaps the foot to one side.
Babel changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Shalit bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Babel's head.
Shalit with a nice cross.
Shalit swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Babel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Shalit connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Good shot there by Shalit.
Babel walks straight into a right hand from Shalit - that's dropped him! Shalit jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Babel from any more punishment! Babel complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
