Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Tua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson Thompson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oh, that's a big right hand from Tua and Thompson goes tumbling to the canvas! Tua follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

It looks like Jackson Thompson has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tua looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Tua missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thompson is looking for a sweep. Tua is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tua wants to control but Thompson is keeping him busy.
Tua tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Thompson is looking to improve his position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tua connects with a nice short shot to Thompson's temple.
Thompson is looking for a sweep. Tua is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tua thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tua thows a body shot but no joy.
Tua waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Thompson.
Thompson slips under a jab from Tua.
Tua looks to land a right hand but Thompson moved out of range.
David Tua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tua takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

The cut above Jackson Thompson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Thompson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tua.
Tua connects with a single shot there.
Thompson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tua lands with a cross.

Jackson Thompson's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jackson Thompson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
