Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gareth Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aegon Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ben Hemmingworth and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes misses with a takedown
and Stark counters by clinching up.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Hughes is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Stark gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hughes regains guard.
Stark landing some decent shots from guard.
Hughes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hughes controls Stark momentarily but Stark frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stark is looking to stand up but Hughes won't let him.

Hughes seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Stark shoots in and gets a takedown into Hughes's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Stark should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hughes is in all sorts of trouble here.

Stark tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hughes defends well and Stark ends up having to push Hughes into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hughes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stark pulls his head out easily.

Hughes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stark is working away from the top position though.

Hughes is refusing to be controlled, as Stark sits in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Gareth Hughes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Stark misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Stark is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Stark controlling the action here for a moment.
Hughes manages to pull guard.

Hughes kicks Stark off and gets to his feet.
Hughes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stark's waist but Stark gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hughes off to one side.
Stark decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Hughes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stark is working away from the top position though.
Stark wants to free his trapped foot but Hughes is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Stark shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hughes napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Aegon Stark showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Stark misses with a few strikes there.
Horrible takedown attempt by Stark or perhaps it was just good defense by Hughes, which made it look bad.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stark throws a wild body kick that Hughes sees coming a mile off.

Hughes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Hughes wants to get back to his feet but Stark drags him back down.

Stark tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stark has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hughes tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Stark easily slips into full mount!

Aegon Stark comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stark has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
