The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Hadenov.

Spartak's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hadenov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Spartak scrambles back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hadenov throws a right hand that Spartak ducks under and follows up with a left that Spartak also avoids with ease.
Spartak follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Spartak shoots in looking for a takedown. Hadenov tries to sprawl out of it but Spartak keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hadenov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hadenov throws a nice looking combination but Spartak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Spartak decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hadenov's guard.

Spartak is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hadenov is just riding it out for now. Spartak eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Spartak has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hadenov is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Spartak tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hadenov just stands there and leans against the cage.

Iva Hadenov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonid Spartak.

Spartak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Leonid Spartak is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
