Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Peanisbreath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Schwartz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dick Peanisbreath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bill Schwartz!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peanisbreath fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Schwartz, pushing him back against the cage.
Schwartz wants to take the fight to the mat but Peanisbreath manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Schwartz has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Peanisbreath after a bit of a struggle.
Peanisbreath wants to get back to striking at distance but Schwartz won't allow it.
Schwartz tries to score a body lock takedown but Peanisbreath shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Dick Peanisbreath has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Schwartz.

Peanisbreath breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Peanisbreath tries to clinch but Schwartz moves out of range.
Schwartz is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Peanisbreath gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Schwartz to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Let's hope that Schwartz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Peanisbreath is staying active underneath Schwartz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schwartz tries to pass to full mount but Peanisbreath defends it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Schwartz is looking for a kimura but Peanisbreath is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Schwartz to get the leverage.
Schwartz is looking to take a break and control but Peanisbreath is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Peanisbreath is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Schwartz is looking to stall here but Peanisbreath recovers full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Schwartz is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Schwartz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Peanisbreath does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Peanisbreath wants to get back to his feet.

Schwartz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Peanisbreath has managed to free his arm - good work.
Peanisbreath wants to improve his position but Schwartz is controlling well.

Schwartz is working for a submission of some sort.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Peanisbreath has a hand on Schwartz's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Schwartz takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Schwartz is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Peanisbreath is just riding it out for now. Schwartz eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Peanisbreath gets full guard.

Peanisbreath tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Peanisbreath throws a sloppy head kick and Schwartz moves out of range easily.
Peanisbreath tries to clinch there but Schwartz circles away.
Schwartz tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Schwartz goes for a double leg but Peanisbreath avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Peanisbreath continues to drive forward.

Schwartz wants to work for an arm triangle but Peanisbreath is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Schwartz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Peanisbreath doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Schwartz.

Schwartz throws a right hand that Peanisbreath ducks under and follows up with a left that Peanisbreath also avoids with ease.
It looked like Peanisbreath was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Peanisbreath scores with a push kick.
Schwartz wants to clinch up but Peanisbreath keeps it at a distance.
Crunch! Peanisbreath slams his shin into Schwartz's torso.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Peanisbreath connects with a nice short shot to Schwartz's temple.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Peanisbreath passes to side control.
Schwartz tries to bench press Peanisbreath off him but Peanisbreath keeps the position.
Schwartz is working to avoid the ground and pound but Peanisbreath connects with a decent elbow.
Peanisbreath lands some shots froms side control.
Schwartz manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Peanisbreath drops an elbow to the side of Schwartz's head.
Schwartz is staying active underneath Peanisbreath, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Peanisbreath is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Peanisbreath wants to stand up but Schwartz has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Peanisbreath has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Schwartz is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Peanisbreath frees his head nicely. Oh but Schwartz has switched to an armbar! Peanisbreath is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
