The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ligaw blocks a head kick by Arango.
Ligaw is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ligaw looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Arango fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ligaw, pushing him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ligaw jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Arango walks away with a smile on his face. Ligaw gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ligaw looks for a takedown but Arango sprawls well.
Lalo Arango has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damong Ligaw.
Arango has managed to clinch.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ligaw holds on and takes a little breather.
Arango postures up in Ligaw's guard and throws a big left but Ligaw blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Arango keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ligaw's head.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Arango lands a nice short elbow.
Arango lands a big elbow - Ligaw is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Arango!

A relieved looking Lalo Arango thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
