Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seth Gunn has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Spencer Turner's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spencer Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Seth Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, John Mangel and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner misses with a low kick.
Turner looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Turner throws a lazy body kick
and Gunn counters with a three punch combo that has Turner backing up. Turner nods at Gunn to acknowledge the strikes.

Gunn looking to score a takedown here. Turner is defending well but Gunn drives through and ends up in Turner's guard.

Gunn gets to his feet. Turner looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
We've been told by Turner's head coaches at Cozad MMA Sydney that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Turner buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Turner swats away the attempt to clinch by Gunn.
A head kick misses from Turner.
Gunn was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Turner tries to close the distance and clinch but Gunn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Turner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gunn steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Turner.
Gunn shoots in for a takedown but Turner shows good takedown defense.
Gunn misses with a takedown attempt - Turner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Gunn blocks a leg kick.
Turner throws a right and a left that Gunn avoids nicely.
Turner tries to clinch but Gunn is having none of it.
Turner on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gunn. Gunn obviously looking to wear him down.
Gunn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gunn shoots for a takedown but Turner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Spencer Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seth Gunn.

Turner rushes Gunn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gunn misses with a punch to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Gunn's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Gunn is trying to force a seperation but Turner has the dominant position.

Turner is looking to clinch.

Turner tries to close the distance and clinch but Gunn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
As Turner backs off Gunn throws a huge counter combo but Turner manages to avoid it all.
Spencer Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gunn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Turner misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gunn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gunn fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sloppy strikes from Turner. Those never looked like landing.
Gunn with the counter takedown but Turner avoids it easily.
Gunn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turner tries to avoid it but Gunn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turner to the ground. Turner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Turner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gunn to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gunn postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Gunn stands up from Turner's guard - Gunn perhaps looking for a knockout.
A good leg kick by Gunn.
Gunn swats away the attempt to clinch by Turner.
Turner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gunn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gunn throws a fast counter high kick but Turner manages to duck under it in time.
Spencer Turner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Turner throws a head kick that misses.
Gunn steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Turner.
Gunn scoring well with a low kick there.

Gunn gets the takedown into side control.
Gunn looks up at the clock and then as Turner takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gunn smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Turner is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Gunn stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Gunn shoots in and gets a takedown into Turner's guard.
Turner is wriggling around but Gunn manages to pass to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turner is trying to stand back up but Gunn is controlling him
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seth Gunn dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Gunn lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Turner closes the distance looking to clinch
and Gunn counters with a left to the body.
Gunn fails in his attempt to clinch.

Gunn scores with a takedown into Turner's guard.
Gunn lands a couple of digs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gunn lands a couple of elbows.
Turner being controlled here, momentarily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Turner is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gunn is controlling him.

Gunn controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Turner working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gunn.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Turner is looking to stand up but Gunn isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Gunn shoots in but no luck this time.
Turner tries a head kick but it misses.
Gunn dives in for a single leg takedown but Turner sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Gunn moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Gunn darts in and clinches Turner up against the cage.
Gunn is trying to pull guard but Turner has him pressed against the cage.
Spencer Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seth Gunn.
Turner wants to get back to striking at distance but Gunn won't allow it.
Gunn is trying to pull guard but Turner turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Turner is looking to break free of the clinch but Gunn has double underhooks.

Gunn has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Gunn fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Gunn avoids a wild elbow strike from Turner.

Turner stalling in the clinch but Gunn improves position.

Gunn throws an elbow but it misses.
A frustrated look appears on Turner's face as he tries to break the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Turner throws an elbow but misses.
Turner managing to block the knees to the body from Gunn.
Gunn tries to break the clinch but Turner is controlling the position.
Turner throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Gunn is trying to drag Turner to the mat but Turner just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Gunn looking to slow down the pace here.
Gunn prevents Turner from breaking the clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Turner comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Gunn missing with knees to the body.
Turner wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Turner wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Turner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Turner tries to clinch
and Gunn counters with a two punch combo.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gunn tries to pull guard but Turner forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gunn is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Turner is defending well for now.
Turner can't break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seth Gunn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Gunn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turner tries to avoid it but Gunn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turner to the ground. Turner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gunn is looking to clinch but Turner is avoiding it.
Gunn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Turner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gunn somewhat.
As Gunn looks to move away, Turner throws a big counter combo bu Gunn just gets out of the way.

Turner moves into range and clinches up with Gunn.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Turner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gunn tries for a takedown but Turner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Turner lands a head kick!
Turner tries to clinch but Gunn is having none of it.

Gunn fails to land the takedown.
Gunn lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gunn.
Gunn shoots in for a double leg but Turner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Turner is looking for a counter combo.

Turner rushes Gunn and presses him up against the cage.
Turner wants to break free but Gunn has control.
Gunn misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Turner breaks the clinch.

Gunn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Turner!
Turner wants to get back to his feet.

The referee asks Gunn politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Gunn prefers to stall for the moment though.

Gunn stands up and beckons Turner to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gunn scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Spencer Turner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Turner doesn't manage to clinch there - Gunn circles away.
Turner circles away from the clinch attempt.

Gunn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gunn lands in his opponent's guard.

Turner is working an open guard so Gunn takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Gunn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Turner was covering up waiting for the punch and Gunn finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Turner had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gunn defends it easily.

Turner looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Gunn passes into side control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Seth Gunn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Gunn winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
