Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Strzelba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dean Waters!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oooooh!!! Strzelba has knocked Waters down with a huge combo! Strzelba steps away and waves a wobbly Waters back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Dean Waters has been cut.
Waters sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A head kick misses from Strzelba.
Waters takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Strzelba rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Waters moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Strzelba throws a head kick that misses.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Strzelba.
Strzelba throws a right hand that Waters ducks under and follows up with a left that Waters also avoids with ease.

Waters tries to counter by closing the distance.
Waters looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Strzelba tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Waters misses with a takedown attempt

and Strzelba counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Strzelba.
Waters looks winded!
Waters is trying to pull guard but Strzelba has him pressed against the cage.

Strzelba pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Strzelba pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Waters with the counter takedown but Strzelba avoids it easily.
Waters tries to score a power double leg takedown but Strzelba sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Waters somewhat.
Jan Strzelba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Waters.
A solid leg kick lands there for Strzelba.
Strzelba cracks Waters with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Waters is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Strzelba.


Waters is rocked!
Strzelba stuffs the takedown attempt from Waters. Waters gets slowly back to his feet.
Waters is still on wobbly legs! Can Strzelba finish him?
Jan Strzelba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Strzelba lands an uppercut, right on the button! Waters tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jan Strzelba!
