The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macfedries misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Macfedries really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sakuraba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Macfedries tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sakuraba changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Macfedries tries to avoid it but Sakuraba manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Macfedries to the ground. Macfedries escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sakuraba is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Macfedries looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sakuraba gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Macfedries is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sakuraba lets go of the hold and Macfedries can pop his arm back in it's socket.
