The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duran avoids the body shot from Marx.
Duran just misses with a punch to the body.
Duran misses with a wild body shot.
Duran scores with a body shot.
Duran lands a big head kick that sends Marx tumbling to the mat! Duran takes a step backwards and waves Marx back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Mordechai Marx has been cut.
Marx misses with a looping left.
Duran throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marx throws a low kick, looking for Duran's leg but Duran calmly moves out of range.
Duran only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Duran lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Duran feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Marx sprawling to the canvas! Marx rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Duran finish him?!
Duran shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Marx takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Duran sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Marx bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Umberto Duran!
