PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kurisu Ikora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenta Kisotsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kisotsu has chosen Click Click Boom as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ikora stuffs the takedown.
A punch combination from Kisotsu misses.
Ikora stuffs the takedown attempt from Kisotsu. Kisotsu gets slowly back to his feet.
Kisotsu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ikora swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kisotsu closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kisotsu stands up and beckons Ikora to his feet.
Ikora on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kisotsu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kurisu Ikora has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenta Kisotsu.
Ikora slips under a jab from Kisotsu.

Kisotsu closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kisotsu works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Ikora is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Kisotsu wants to stand but Ikora has his arm trapped.
Ikora is looking for a sweep.
Ikora is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kisotsu's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Ikora works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kisotsu wants to get up but he can't break Ikora's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Ikora looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kisotsu is one step ahead there.
Ikora controls Kisotsu momentarily but Kisotsu frees himself.
Kisotsu pushes down on Ikora's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Ikora moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Ikora manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kisotsu manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Ikora advances position into side control!

Ikora tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Ikora is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ikora trying to control the position but Kisotsu is working away.

Ikora thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kisotsu manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Kisotsu wants to improve his position but Ikora is controlling well.
Kisotsu is pressing down on Ikora's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Ikora might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ikora stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kisotsu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kisotsu looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ikora has picked Kisotsu up and slammed him! Kisotsu can't keep hold of the triangle and Ikora manages to pass to side control!
Kisotsu is looking to regain half guard here but Ikora keeps moving and retains side control.
Kisotsu is not content to let Ikora control the position.

Ikora in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kisotsu is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
