Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Finley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Sai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dylan Finley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Sai!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sai clinches up with Finley and pushes him back against the cage.
Finley is trying to break the clinch but Sai has him pressed against the cage.
Sai stalling in the clinch.
Finley tries to land knees in the clinch but Sai avoids the damage to the body.
Finley is looking to take this one to the mat.

Finley has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sai uses from the top position.
Sai wants to control from the top but Finley keeps moving.
Finley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Finley holds on and takes a little breather.
Sai looking to sit in guard and control but Finley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Finley lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sai holds on and takes a little breather.
Sai looking to control.
Sai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Finley works over Sai with some ground and pound from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Finley stands up from Sai's guard - Finley perhaps looking for a knockout.
Finley tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sai defends well and Finley ends up having to push Sai into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Sai fails with the takedown.

Sai slaps away a takedown attempt from Finley, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dylan Finley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Finley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sai.
Finley is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sai sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sai tries to close the distance and clinch up but Finley swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Finley counters with a nice body shot.
Finley shoots for a double leg takedown but Sai sprawls well. He's pushed Finley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sai tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Finley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Finley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sai is fending him off so far but Finley persists. Nope, Sai circles away and we're back to standing.
Finley shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sai defends it nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sai wants to clinch up but Finley keeps it at a distance.
Sai misses the shot to the body.
Sai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sai gets a clinch.
Sai is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Finley is defending well for now.

Sai pulls guard successfully.
Sai not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Finley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sai wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Finley manages to pass to side control.
Finley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sai trying to get back to full guard but Finley takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Finley with a couple of short strikes.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Finley looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Sai is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dylan Finley dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Sai gets caught flat footed, as Finley shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Sai has his hands on Finley's head, controlling the position.

Sai has an active guard here but Finley has managed to pass into half guard.

Finley is looking for a kimura but Sai is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Finley to get the leverage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Finley throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Sai tries to get to full guard but Finley has control of the leg.
Sai wants to control but Finley is keeping busy.
Finley slips a nice elbow through Sai's hands, connecting with Sai's forehead.
Finley scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Finley not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Sai looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Sai is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sai is looking to get back to is feet but Finley passes into side control.
Finley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sai can do to turn this around?
Sai trying to control but Finley flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Finley throwing damaging strikes from the back! Sai could be in trouble here!
Sai can't escape the position.
Finley lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Sai grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Finley patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Finley has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Sai is defending well but eventually Finley manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Sai has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Dylan Finley!
