Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Modesto Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dede Rustandi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rustandi has chosen Goyang Dumang as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dede Rustandi!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, John Mangel and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Price drives through and clinches with Rustandi against the cage.
Price leaning against his opponent.

Price works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Price connects with a couple of short punches.

Price decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rustandi, up you get!
Price looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rustandi appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Rustandi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Price tries to clinch but Rustandi moves away
and Rustandi counters with a good, hard body kick but Price shrugs it off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rustandi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Price manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Price really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Rustandi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Price pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rustandi trying to control but Price is working from the bottom.
Price not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Price has momentary wrist control but Rustandi slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Price is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Price manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Rustandi swings wildly with an uppercut but Price uses good head movement to avoid it.
Price stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Price breaks from the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Price looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rustandi is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Rustandi throws a chopping leg kick but Price manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
No luck for Price with that takedown attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Donk. Rustandi catches Price right on the button with a cross.


Price is rocked!


It looks like Modesto Price has been cut.
Price fails with the takedown
and Rustandi rattles Price with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Price tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Rustandi dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Price stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dede Rustandi!
Dede Rustandi was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
