Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aleksey Sceviour (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Slack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slack dives in and grabs Sceviour's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sceviour pushes down on Slack's head and hops out.
Sceviour tries to counter by clinching up but Slack breaks away and moves out of range.
Sceviour throws a series of punches but Slack moves out of range.

Slack takes the fight into the clinch.
Slack can't break the clinch.

Sceviour escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sceviour misses with a head kick.
Slack changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Slack tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Sceviour counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sceviour wants to control from the top but Slack keeps moving.

Slack has his hands on Sceviour's head, controlling the position.
Sceviour is in close to Slack's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sceviour sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Slack's guard.
Slack manages to get to full guard.
Sceviour has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Slack is proving hard to escape from.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sceviour wants to control from the top but Slack keeps moving.
Sceviour is stalling in the full guard.
Slack pulls Sceviour in to control the position.
Sceviour would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sceviour misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Slack fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Sceviour tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Sceviour closes the distance and pushes Slack back into the cage.

Slack shoots in and bounces Sceviour off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Sceviour can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Slack controls the pace.
Slack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sceviour. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sceviour fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Slack avoids it really well and circles away.

Slack is looking to sweep but instead, Sceviour has passed into half guard.
Slack keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Slack is trying to maintain the position but Sceviour is very close to passing his half guard.
Sceviour tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sceviour wants to take a breather but Slack is having none of it.

Slack takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Sceviour is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Slack with him. Slack is trying to defend but Sceviour has an arm under the chin now! Slack grimaces and is forced to tap out!
