Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between gs Seg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Alsop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Seg clinches up with Alsop and pushes him back against the cage.
Alsop is pressed up against the cage. Seg has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alsop down to the mat. Alsop avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Seg darts in and clinches Alsop up against the cage.
Seg slowing the pace effectively.

Seg has hold of one of Alsop's legs. Alsop is fighting the takedown attempt but Seg gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Alsop keeping full guard, as Seg tries to pass.
Alsop not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Seg might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Alsop has his foot on Seg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Seg works his way back into a safe position though.

Seg tries to free his leg and advance position but Alsop is retaining full guard.

Alsop working for a triangle but Seg defends it easily.
Alsop is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Alsop is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Seg has his hands clasped together but Alsop extends and breaks Seg's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Alsop.
