Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jim Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ultra Winner!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winner scores with a head kick. Dixon tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Jim Dixon has been cut.
Dixon throws a lazy uppercut
and Winner counters with an inside leg kick.

Winner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jim Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dixon looks to land a right hand but Winner moved out of range.

Winner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Winner steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Dixon.
Winner throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Dixon misses with a hook. Winner ducked under it nicely.

Dixon closes the distance and clinches.
Dixon has a couple of punches blocked by Winner.
Winner jumps guard but Dixon turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Winner blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Dixon lands with a left to the head.
I was talking to Dixon's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Dixon swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Winner blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Dixon throws a punch but it's blocked by Winner.
Winner tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Winner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dixon throws out a loose jab but Winner uses good head movement to avoid it.
Winner feints the counter takedown.
Dixon avoids the head kick by Winner.
Dixon is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Winner fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dixon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Winner scores with a kick to the midsection.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A cross from Dixon lands.
Winner throws a head kick but Dixon moves out of range.
Dixon throws a looping overhand right but Winner ducks down to avoid it.
Winner cracks Dixon with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Winner paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Dixon scores with a crisp jab that stopped Winner in his tracks.

Winner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Winner ducks under a wild hook from Dixon.
Winner tries a quick counter leg kick but Dixon is wise to it.
Dixon shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Nice defenses there by Winner.
Dixon feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Winners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Winner throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dixon on the side of the head.
Winner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dixon throwing a counter right hand but Winner manages to avoid it.

Dixon clinches up with Winner and pushes him back against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dixon misses with a hook from the clinch.
Winner is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Dixon is keeping busy.
Dixon has a couple of punches blocked by Winner.
Winner can't break the clinch.
Dixon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Winner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A cross from Winner lands.
Winner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dixon jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.


Winner is rocked!
Winner steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dixon.
Winner is still on wobbly legs! Can Dixon finish him?
Winner is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Dixon doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Winner crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Winner's bad books for that mishap!
