Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Emmitt Koch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dick Peanisbreath!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peanisbreath is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Koch's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koch is trying to get back to full guard.
Koch keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Koch is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Peanisbreath's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Peanisbreath's back!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Peanisbreath is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Koch throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Peanisbreath's waist but Peanisbreath gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Koch off to one side.
Peanisbreath lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Koch leaves Peanisbreath with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Koch wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Koch fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Peanisbreath sprawls well initially but Koch persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Peanisbreath is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Peanisbreath holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

A quick step to the side and Koch tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Koch breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Koch gets caught napping as Peanisbreath dives in and scores a takedown. Koch manages to retain guard.
Peanisbreath is breathing heavily.

Koch is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Peanisbreath presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Koch slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Peanisbreath escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Koch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Koch seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Peanisbreath for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Peanisbreath lands a body shot.
Peanisbreath connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Peanisbreath moves in looking to clinch but Koch pushes him off.
Peanisbreath looks to land a body kick but Koch moved away.
Koch is looking to counter the offense by Peanisbreath and move into the clinch.

Koch shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Peanisbreath napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Koch stands up and beckons Peanisbreath to his feet.

Peanisbreath fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Koch looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Peanisbreath looks to land a combination but Koch avoids it well.
Koch looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peanisbreath is fending him off so far but Koch persists. Nope, Peanisbreath circles away and we're back to standing.

Peanisbreath is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Koch is defending well for now.

Peanisbreath is in close to Koch's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Koch wants to sweep here but Peanisbreath controlling him for the moment.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Emmitt Koch.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Koch, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
