PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Orange Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bernhard Adelhard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adelhard has chosen Godsmack - I Stand Alone as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adelhard moves out of range of the body kick from Joe.
Joe feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Adelhards jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Joe throws a hook but Adelhard avoids it easily.
Adelhard throws the left hand but Joe avoids the punch easily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Adelhard, as that shot connected.
Nice straight punches there by Adelhard. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Adelhard.
Joe looks to land a right hand but Adelhard moved out of range.
Adelhard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A slow jab from Joe misses its intended target.
Joe looks to land a left hand but Adelhard moved out of range nicely.
Adelhard throws a good cross that connects.
Adelhard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Joe.
Joe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Adelhard manages to avoid it.
Joe darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Joe slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Joe swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Adelhard throws out a loose jab but Joe uses good head movement to avoid it.
Adelhard throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Adelhard moves out of range of the leg kick from Joe.
Adelhard throws a series of punches but Joe avoids them all with ease.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Adelhard loads up on a big right hand but Joe slips the punch.

Adelhard has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Joe.
Joe throws a jab but it's blocked by Adelhard.
Joe sets himself, and Adelhard steps forward looking for the clinch! Joe avoids it this time.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Adelhard has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Adelhard throws a push kick but Joe slaps the foot to one side.

Joe misses with an attempted mid kick.
Joe lands a nice leg kick that just misses Adelhard's sensitive parts.
Adelhard scores with the left hand. Joe knows he should have avoided that one.

Joe throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Adelhard moves out of range as Joe throws a body kick.
Adelhard keeps Joe at a distance using the push kick.
Adelhard connects with a leg kick. Joe looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Adelhard is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Joe wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Adelhard is now in half guard.
Joe wants to sweep but Adelhard has passed to side control!
Joe stops Adelhard from passing to mount.
Joe is trying to control Adelhard's posture but Adelhard avoids it.

Joe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Adelhard is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Joe has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Adelhard is working away from the top position though.
Joe is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Ultimate MMA Training Center, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Adelhard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Joe does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

After winning the bout, Bernhard Adelhard thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
