Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reginald Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dax Kasutomo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dax Kasutomo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kasutomo instigates a clinch.

Kasutomo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Monroe is trying to defend but Kasutomo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

A frustrated look appears on Monroe's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Monroe jumps guard but Kasutomo stands there with Monroe around his waist. Monroe gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Monroe is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kasutomo to keep the fight standing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Monroe is defended easily by Kasutomo.

Kasutomo shoots in and bounces Monroe off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Monroe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kasutomo defends well.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Kasutomo. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Monroe's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kasutomo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Monroe was covering up waiting for the punch and Kasutomo finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kasutomo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Kasutomo seems to be working for a kimura but Monroe defends the submission attempt.

Monroe pushes Kasutomo off looking to stand but Kasutomo dives back in and keeps control.

Monroe has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Kasutomo is on him like a limpet, forcing Monroe back against the cage.

Monroe jumps guard and drags Kasutomo to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Well Kasutomo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
