Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arjen Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuki Kondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Overeem might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Switchblade Smiles. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Yuki Kondo enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem thows a body kick. Kondo tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Overeem uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kondo.

Kondo feints and as Overeem raises his hands in defense, Kondo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Overeem fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kondo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Overeem manages to avoid it.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kondo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kondo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Overeem keeps working.

Kondo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Overeem haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
You can see the frustration on Overeem's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
