Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tito Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin comes to the cage accompanied by Blessed. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 32 - 0, fighting out of London, Hans Gruber!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruber chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A combination from Griffin does no damage.
Griffin connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Griffin is looking to clinch.
Nice defenses there by Griffin.
Gruber keeps the fight on the outside.
Griffin throws a combination that misses
and Griffin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gruber misses with a double jab
and Griffin counters with a series of strikes. Gruber will be more careful next time no doubt.
Gruber misses with a straight right.
Gruber throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Griffin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gruber throws a right hand that misses
and Griffin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A left lands for Gruber.
Gruber scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Gruber fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Griffin was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Griffin checks the leg kick.
Griffin half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Hans Gruber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Griffin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gruber misses with an uppercut. Griffin saw that one coming.
Tito Griffin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Griffin slips under a jab from Gruber.
Gruber throws a body punch but Griffin moves out of range.
A left and a right from Griffin both land. Nice combination.

Gruber lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Griffin circles away quickly and effectively.
Griffin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Gruber swats away the attempt to clinch by Griffin.
Griffin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gruber manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gruber lands with a hook. Griffin tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A jab lands there for Griffin.

and Griffin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gruber looks to score with a jab to the body but Griffin is just out of range.

Griffin rushes Gruber and presses him up against the cage.
Gruber misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Griffin has Gruber pressed against the cage, preventing Gruber from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Gruber swings wildly with an uppercut but Griffin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Griffin lands with a left to the head.
Griffin definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gruber is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Gruber wants to break the clinch but can't.

Gruber throws a punch but it's blocked by Griffin.
Griffin lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A short right from Griffin.
Griffin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gruber backwards.


Gruber is rocked!

Griffin lands a big uppercut and Gruber is down! He's in big trouble - Griffin follows him to the mat!
Gruber is still in real trouble! Can Griffin finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gruber keeping control of the position.
Griffin tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Gruber seems to have recovered his senses.
Gruber keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Griffin stands up and beckons Gruber to join him on the feet.

and Griffin counters with a nice uppercut.
Gruber throws a leg kick but Griffin sees it coming and checks it nicely.
It looked like Griffin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Griffin is looking to clinch but Gruber is avoiding it.
Griffin has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gruber.
Gruber misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gruber looks to land a right hand but Griffin moved out of range.
Griffin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gruber.
Griffin jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Griffin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gruber loads up on a big right hand but Griffin slips the punch.
Gruber dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Griffin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Gruber is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Griffin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Gruber is countered with a crisp right hand from Griffin that sends him to the canvas! Griffin follows him to the mat into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gruber is looking for a sweep.
Griffin tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Griffin tries to get to his feet but Gruber is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Griffin in his guard.

Gruber lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Gruber is keen to just control but Griffin is a slippery customer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Griffin wants to get back to his feet.
Gruber is looking to take a break and control but Griffin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Well, if Gruber is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Gruber is looking for a kimura but Griffin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gruber to get the leverage.

Gruber is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Griffin is just riding it out for now. Gruber eventually gives up the hold.

Gruber gets tackled into the cage by Griffin. Griffin maintains the clinch.

Gruber breaks from the clinch.
Griffin pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gruber back to the cage. Griffin follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Griffin checks a low kick from Gruber.
Griffin dodges the punch combination from Gruber.
Griffin is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Griffin is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Griffin tries to clinch but Gruber moves out of range.

Gruber swats away the attempt to clinch by Griffin.

Griffin has managed to clinch.
Gruber doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Gruber tumbles to the floor! Griffin threw a big shot that dropped him and now Griffin is on top looking to finish! Gruber has guard but can he survive?!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gruber is pulling down on Griffin's head. It's preventing any offense from Griffin, at least for the moment.
Griffin wants to stand but Gruber has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Griffin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Gruber looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Griffin!
Griffin is pushing Gruber's head away, looking to escape. Gruber manages to hold on to the position though.
Gruber wants to lay and pray for a moment but Griffin keeps working.
Gruber postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Griffin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gruber on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Griffin avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Gruber.
Gruber scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Griffin to see if he's OK.

Gruber sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Griffin is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Griffin is not content to let Gruber control the position.
Griffin is trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gruber looks up at the clock and then as Griffin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gruber smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Gruber with the ground and pound but Griffin regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Gruber lands strikes from half guard.

Gruber looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Griffin wants to get back to his feet.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Gruber not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Griffin walks straight into a right hand from Gruber - that's dropped him! Gruber jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Griffin from any more punishment! Griffin complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Hans Gruber!
Tito Griffin spoke after the fight, saying 'Thank you for the fight thank you fans and my opponet you were the better fighter'.
