Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Allen Neal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Draven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neal tries to keep at a distance but Draven has taken the fight into the clinch.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

and Neal counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Draven's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Draven keeping moving, preventing Neal from controlling successfully.

Neal stands up and waves to Draven to follow him.
Neal tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Draven throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Draven gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neal scoring with some ground and pound.

Neal stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Neal shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Draven's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neal is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Neal postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neal misses with a few strikes there.
Draven misses with a double jab.
Draven looks for a takedown but Neal sprawls well.

Draven is looking to break free of the clinch but Neal has double underhooks.
Draven is trying to maintain a safe position but Neal gets an underhook and turns Draven into the cage.

Neal moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Nice takedown defense from Neal. No joy for Draven on that attempt.

Neal throws a right hand that Draven ducks under and follows up with a left that Draven also avoids with ease.

Draven tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Neal paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Neal looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Draven forces Neal back against the cage and clinches.

Draven slowing the pace effectively.

Neal manages to break the clinch.
Draven lands a nice looking body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Draven as he avoids it easily.

Neal fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Draven sprawls well initially but Neal persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Neal changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Draven looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Neal is looking to take a break and control but Draven is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Neal throws a strike aimed at the side of Draven's head but Draven avoids it well.

Neal decides to stand up, so the ref orders Draven to his feet.

Neal misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Neal swats away the attempt to clinch by Draven.

Neal fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Draven.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Neal, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
