The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyrmä scores with a sloppy right hand. Machado should have avoided that one.
Machado looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Daniel Machado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tyrmä connects with a leg kick. Machado looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

and Tyrmä counters with a two punch combo.
Tyrmä looks to score with a jab to the body but Machado is just out of range.
A little jabbing left from Machado on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Machado closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Tyrmä crashing to the mat! Tyrmä uses the cage to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

Machado jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Oh Tyrmä is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Machado throws a body shot but no joy.
Tyrmä seems to have got his legs back now.

Tyrmä ducks into a a hook from Machado and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Machado throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Machado drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Tyrmä onto his butt! Tyrmä pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.

Machado stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Tyrmä leaves his chin hanging out and Machado seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Tyrmä crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
