Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sanford Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Stark!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark misses with a takedown attempt
and Nelson counters with a one-two to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stark looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nelson looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Stark tries to clinch
and Nelson counters with a two punch combo.

Stark shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Stark was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Nelson is looking to reverse the position.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Stark has knee on belly and moves into mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nelson is working to get back to half guard.
Nelson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Stark scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Nelson is bucking up trying to escape but Stark cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Nelson regains half guard.
Nice strikes from Stark there.

Stark lands with a punch from half guard.
Stark not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Stark not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Nelson tries to roll over but Stark keeps him under control.
Stark looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Stark is nestled in close to Nelson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stark is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Stark landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Nelson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nelson is looking to improve his position.

Stark is working for a submission of some sort.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stark lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nelson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Stark scores with a couple of nice shots.
Nelson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Nelson wants to sweep here but Stark controlling him for the moment.
Nelson is breathing heavily.
Stark is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Stark connects with a couple of short punches.
Stark won't allow Nelson to sweep him here.
Stark is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Stark lands a couple of digs.
Stark landing some decent shots from guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nelson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stark.
Nelson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Stark lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Stark is pushing down on Nelson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nelson is fighting to maintain full guard but Stark has managed to sneak the leg through.

Stark is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Stark has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Nelson tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Stark has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
BOOM! Stark connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Stark lands a couple of good shots and Nelson has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Stark has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Nelson has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Stark tries to keep control of the position but Nelson is staying busy.
Nelson tries to break free.
Stark punishes Nelson with strikes from the back mount.
Stark punches Nelson on the ear.
Nelson rolls, trying to escape but Stark keeps control of the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Can Nelson hold on?! Stark is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.


Nelson is rocked!
Stark lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Stark.
Oh Nelson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Stark is cranking Nelson's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Nelson! He's tightened the choke and Nelson is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nick Stark!
