Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lynn Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bil Nye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nye has chosen LINE as his entrance music. Bil Nye has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lynn Stout's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lynn Stout!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bil Nye!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stout looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nye!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Nye looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Nye trying to remain calm as Stout controls from the top position.
Nye misses with a strike from the bottom.
Nye avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Stout.
Stout with the ground and pound but Nye regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Nye is refusing to be controlled, as Stout sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nye looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Stout working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Nye is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Stout not landing any meaningful shots this time.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nye can do anything to dispel that myth.

Stout stands up over Nye, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Stout might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Stout trying to control the position from guard on top but Nye is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Nye shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stout manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Stout looking for a guillotine here but Nye defends easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Stout is looking for a triangle but Nye pushes his legs off easily.

Nye shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nye was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Nye wants to stand but Stout is controlling his arm.
Stout bucks up and tries to throw Nye off but instead Nye has got his back!

Nye gets back to his feet from a dominant position... quite strange.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Nye is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Stout is controlling him well.

Stout is trying to get an arm triangle but Nye is defending well.
Stout wants to control but Nye is keeping him busy.
Stout lands a decent elbow from side control.

Stout working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Stout is trying to ground and pound but Nye uses the momentary lack of control by Stout to regain half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stout wants to control from the top but Nye keeps moving.
Stout is looking to work some ground and pound but Nye has wrist control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stout enables Nye to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stout manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Stout escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nye gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lynn Stout will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Stout scores with a sloppy right hand. Nye should have avoided that one.

Stout gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nye to score an easy takedown into full guard.
